Gachon University (President Gil-Yeo Lee) received 200 million won in university development funds from Dobu Life Tech, a health and industrial mask manufacturer (Chairman Il-soon Kim), at the 82nd anniversary ceremony held at the Gachon Hall on the 4th.
Chairman Kim Il-soon said, “I decided to donate in the hope that Gachon University will actively invest for the development of the university, including the medical school, and contribute to the education of students, and hope that the students will focus on their studies without worrying about COVID-19.” ․We will do our best to fulfill our corporate social responsibility through research and development of health protective equipment and various donations.”
Gachon University plans to use this donation for research and development of industrial and health protective equipment and scholarships for students majoring in industrial and environmental health at the Graduate School of Public Health.
President Gil-Yeo Lee said, “Thank you for providing the development fund during difficult times.” “Gachon University is also socially responsible, such as nurturing future talents who will lead the 4th industrial revolution and strengthening corporate research capabilities by utilizing the university’s research infrastructure. I will do my best,” he said. President Lee delivered a plaque of appreciation to Chairman Kim to express his gratitude.
Dobu Lifetech Co., Ltd. was established by Chairman Kim in the 1970s when there was no basic dust-proof equipment in the mine, starting with the development of respiratory protection equipment while watching the miners entering the dusty coal mines.
