Korea’s N95 masks are popular due to the shortage of N95 masks in frontline hospitals, etc., and it does not meet the Chinese standards

[The Republic = Reporter Mihee Kim] Dobu Mask Co., Ltd., a domestic mask producer, announced that inquiries for export of its N95 masks from the United States are increasing.

As the Corona 19 (COVID-19) continues for a long time, US hospitals have imported and used hundreds of thousands of KN95 masks made in China over the past six months due to a shortage of N95 masks certified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). About 70% of the Chinese-made KN95 masks imported and used by the US were found to be ineffective in blocking the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

As a result, each state in the United States is paying attention to supply and demand of high-quality N95 masks, and among them, the trust in Korean-made masks is high, so they are turning to domestic mask manufacturers.

An official from Dobu Mask Co., Ltd. said, 'Recently, inquiries for mask export from the US region have not ceased', and 'As each state in the United States conducted a bid for mask supply, consultations with buyers in the Americas increased rapidly, and annual contracts are being requested ' he said.

As COVID-19 continues for a long time, it is expected that governments and medical institutions in each country will continue to strive to stock up on better quality masks.
